No Doubt pide disculpas y retira video de Looking hot

A un día de haber lanzado el video de su nuevo single, Looking hot, No Doubt se vio obligado a retirar el video de redes.

Radio Planeta 107.7 tu música en inglés te cuenta que la controversia llegó a los pocos minutos de verse el video que muestra  la banda en el clásico juego de Cowboys e Indios (Nativos Americanos).
La comunidad de nativos americanos se vio ofendida y No Doubt, además de sacar el video publicó una disculpa en su web en la que aclaran que antes de grabar el video hicieron una investigación al respecto (como para tener claro que no ofenderían a nadie.
Entre otras cosas la banda de Gwen Stefani comenta: ?Como una banda multirracial nos basamos en el respeto por otras etnias y sus costumbres? herir a los demás es algo que no hacemos?.

“As a multi-racial band our foundation is built upon both diversity and consideration for other cultures. Our intention with our new video was never to offend, hurt or trivialize Native American people, their culture or their history. Although we consulted with Native American friends and Native American studies experts at the University of California, we realize now that we have offended people. This is of great concern to us and we are removing the video immediately. The music that inspired us when we started the band, and the community of friends, family, and fans that surrounds us was built upon respect, unity and inclusiveness. We sincerely apologize to the Native American community and anyone else offended by this video. Being hurtful to anyone is simply not who we are. – No Doubt”
